While I suspect it's more for marketing purposes, if you're trying to understand a phenomena and find yourself thinking about philosophy versus science, you're doing it wrong.

The point was not about the marketing, but rather those who get into this way of thinking. As for the author, I don't get the sense that she does this in the content of the article.
