I would so love to go but my scooter is not running. It needs an auto bystarter (auto choke). Wish I could go.

How on earth did that break?

I was on the highway and stopped to get gas. The heat must have opened the choke and held it there. It was in three pieces when I tore down the carb thinking it was one of the jets that was causing the problem. Hope I have it in time for viva lake Geneva.

alright! I'm in. FYI, I put together a first aid kit for the trunk of the sidecar. In addition to the usual assortment of undersized bandaids, there is an eyewash, major sized non-stick bandages, antiseptic wash, triple antibiotic spray, eye patches, butterfly closures, tylenol, gloves, ace bandages, coldpacks, you get the picture. I will try to dig up an old cell phone to shove in there too (911 always works). I'm channeling my inner boy scout in the hopes that we never need it.

I can't maintain those speeds with the sidecar, so I'll have to pass. Goes in the shop for pipe and jets, so maybe next time? Meanwhile, I'll stick with the 50cc crowd in and around town.

Hey erik, no biggie, but with the tortise attached on an uphill climb I struggle to maintain 35mph. No problem in a 45 zone, traffic can deal with it. In a 55 zone, I'm gonna get the one fingered salute myself. Wednesday I,m getting the engine "juiced", so after that I am hoping I can maintain 45 uphill for all future rides.

Just completed the MSF B.R.C. and thanks for the group ride info. Definately appreciate the safety and etiquette lesson as a newbie and driving an awkward rig in a group. My hand signal repitoire just expanded beyond "right turn, left turn, and Hey, F.I.B.! you're number one!"
