Scottsdale GWRRA Motorcycle Meetup

We have our monthly gathering at the  Deer Valley Airport Restaurant  in the meeting room. This restaurant provides a delicious buffet with options to order off the menu. Click HERE to see the menu. The meeting will cover lots of topics including upcoming rides, trips and events. There will also be a discussion by our resident expert, Stu Oltman, on items of interest to motorcycle riders that want to understand how that magic machine works, and how to make it work better or like it was designed to work. We'll have a 50/50 drawing and door prizes will be given away to the lucky winners. Bring a motorcycle item for a door prize and receive extra tickets for the door prize drawings. There is always a ride after the meeting to some place not too far away, about an hours ride or so, always looking for fun rides with a few twisties thrown in.

Thanks Rock. I will put the word out at our November meeting and contact Robyn about reserving the Meeting Room on the first Saturday in December.

John, Following is the message I received and passed forward on June 6th.
    Hi Rock,
It was a pleasure speaking with you yesterday in hopes that you might sway your “Gold Wings” group to our restaurant once a month. If you go to our website below, it will display our menu.
We do not charge for the room, we only ask that each guest order an entrée. It seats 36 in a dining room setting comfortably and a U-shape of 25-30 on each side just as comfortable. We would be delighted to have your “gang” come and enjoy some tasty, yummy food with awesome service and music. “Serving our friends daily” is no joke, we truly mean it and embrace all our guests. So, I will keep my fingers crossed that you might have one of your friends give me a call and we can discuss a possible date and time. Kindest regards, Robyn Robinson

I'm sure open to trying out some new restaurants in Scottsdale, we could sample a new one each month. Let's hold October's meeting at Deer Valley and I'll let everyone know the location for November. Please post your suggestions. Thanks!

    Hello John,
When this idea came up some months back, we offered to look for an alternative location in Scottsdale. It only took one day to find what appeared to be an excellent option with an owner who really showed an interest in our business. I'm sure there are plenty of others. As to the food at the airport ... we have a definite difference of opinion. The reason for my original comment months ago, was related to our early interest in helping reenergize and grow the group. That was when we believed there was genuine receptivity and welcoming to new members and ideas.

Hi Rock and Lisa! It is a challenge to find a meeting place that can handle a large group and the management at Deer Valley Airport has been wonderful to us. They even let us store our meeting supplies on site. The great food is an added bonus!

Why are the 'Scottsdale Chapter' meetings held at the Deer Valley Airport? Will you ever return to Scottsdale?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
