This will be our very first meeting with the new group! Everyone is encouraged to come so we can do introductions and chat before we start in.
Writers, please post your projects on this Meetup group. Go to "More" and then click on "Files" and upload your projects there. Your project must be 10 pages or shorter. You can bring a short, a webisode, or something from a feature length screenplay but it must be under 10 pages. If you don't upload your project before we meet, we cannot read your project in the group that night. It's very important writers, that if you want actors to read your script that you come prepared with copies for all the roles as well as for the narrator. You must bring copies...Also, I know it seems crazy, but please have your script properly formatted as if you were submitting it to Warner Brothers. If you don't have Final Draft or Movie Magic, there is a free program called Celtx that you can use to write your scripts.
Actors, please read over the scripts submitted in the files section on this site...under more...and if you see a role you'd like to read for, please either contact the writer beforehand or before the meeting, or just come to the meeting and the writer will ask for volunteers.
Writers, when you get to the meeting, please sign in and write down your project. We will read projects on a first come first serve basis. If your project doesn't get read that night, we will put you on the top of the list for the next meeting.
