Scrum and Kanban: differences and similarities

  • Sep 4, 2012 · 6:00 PM

We start off with the short presentation we planned to do earlier:

  • Scrum(ban) & Acceptance test driven development@Volvo IT (short presentation - by Anders Jonsson - on how we have used different Scrum boards together with an acceptance test-driven way-of-working)

After this we talk about Scrum and Kanban - similarities and differences etc. - Possible topics to discuss:

  • Iterations and cadence (planning, release, review etc.)
  • Limiting WIP (batching, JIT)
  • Scrum & Kanban boards - content, dimensions etc. (coarse grained or fine grained work etc)

Hi guys, I just saw the attendancy reached to 22 people. And i guess it will be hard to fit in the @Jeffery's living room. Since i am a one of the newcomers, maybe i should skip this one...

    Cheers!

Dont worry about that, we will make do, and never has everyone who said they were coming shown up.

Jeff, just double checking. Does your projector still work? If not I'll sketch on some flip charts and bring them along.

My projector is my television, so, it is kept is very good working condition ;)

Unfortunately, my replacement bulb was faulty, so, we will have to use the old bulb, but I guess no one is looking for the true high definition experience :P

Alright, my place it is... Going to be tight is everyone actually shows up... But that never happens anyway ;)

So, this will turn to a BYOB occasion.

Also, we will need to sort food, it's probably easiest if everyone just bring thier own pizza or something...???

So, it seems they made a mistake letting us book for the 4th. They have a beer tasting, and they need the room. They said we could book the upstairs, what do people think about that?

I already tried bishops arms, it was quiz night, so not very good...

Jeff - can you update the location since I don't know the address?

I will get back shortly on this, we may change to the sqeed office. If not, we will go with my place, but it will probably be fairly hot with 18 people. I will come back shortly!
