Due to the popularity of the first trip, we're putting on another trip.

Spend the weekend with some Manta Rays!

See these spectacular creatures up close at Manta Bommie off North Stradbroke, staying at Manta Lodge in Point Lookout.

We will be doing at least four dives at Manta Bommie and Flat Rock. Two dives each on Saturday and Sunday mornings. You also have the option to do another two dives on Saturday afternoon as well.

Dates: Ferry from Cleveland on Friday 1 March, ferry back on Sunday 3 March.

Cost: $300 for accommodation and four dives incl tank & weights.

Split the cost of Vehicle on Ferry to carry gear ($140 return): $15 each.

Return Transfer from Ferry to Manta Lodge: $8 each way.

Total is $330.

Experience level: Open to all divers, Open Water and above.

OK well, I'm in Wishart, will be home all day Friday for gear dropoffs, or I will head to the ferry terminal an hour early if people want to drive down there and throw the heavy stuff in the Hilux......

Hey, the dates in the text are 15/2 to 17/2. I assume this is a mistake taken from the first session? Also, what temperature is the water here? I'm used to cold water diving and wondering what layers of neoprene to wear.

Urgh. The copy and paste monster strikes again! The water temp is around 20 degrees, most people wear a 5mm all year.

    Hi hilton,

I have not dived for a few years now. Can i still sign up for the Manta diving or do you recommend me first to do some refresh dives?

    January 24, 2013

    • Hilton

      Hi Mario
It's best to do a couple of Seaway or Tweed dives or a refresher beforehand if you haven't dived in a while.

Super excited to go diving with you all! As it happens, I have zero diving gear (e.g. PFD, fins). Am I able to rent it onsite, or should I organize that myself ahead of time?

Hi Laura, hire gear is available at the dive shop. Will have to get back to you on price. It's around $55/day.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
