How many dives under your belt?

100+ I was certified in college in Santa Barbara. I would ride home from class and check out the visibility. If it was good, I'd dive. I used to put on my gear at home, ride my bike to Devereaux Point and go for a dive. I've been to the channel islands 5 or 6 times and I dove in Oahu (though I prefer California) and Monterey and went abalone diving (no tanks) north of San Francisco. Used to dive 8 or 10 times a year after moving down to San Diego. I've been night diving, lobster diving, spear fishing, free diving for abalone. I have set a goal to be out in the water for opening night of lobster season this year and would like to do some dive travel in the coming years. I'd love to see Belize and the great barrier reef.

How often do you dive?

Last dive was at Boomers in 2004.

How, specifically, did you find out about this group? (If you found us via another web site, please name it.)

What features and events are you looking for in a dive group?

I have just gone from being a single parent to a bachelor. I have a lot of free time now and I would like to resume some of my favorite activities from BC (before child). I'm looking for a group where I can meet some new dive buddies as well as some new people to spend some time with.

What is your certification level and where did you get certified?

basic certification was completed in Santa Barbara in 1993 or 1994. I haven't done any training since then, but I've thought about an advanced certification course.

23 logged dives this year including the blue hole in Belize.
