Mobile Focus Group: Amazon Meetup

I wanted to share some great news, Amazon has contacted me about providing their facility so that we can have a series of events showcasing Amazon technologies and opportunities in the mobile space.

The first event is now scheduled for 11/05 in downtown at the Amazon headquarters. We will have a presentation, some refreshments, and ample time to socialize with the members of the group and Amazon staff.

Please make plans to attend, it will be a great session and hopefully will give a ton of information regarding the opportunities about Amazon's line up of mobile and tablet products.

This ended up being more of a hiring event then anything else. It was good for an initial dry-run, hopefully now that Amazon has met their audience. they can start to meet the expectations of the group.

Hi, will we be able to get access to the powerpoint and all related information shared during last night's session?

    Thanks!

Overall the presentation gave a good overview of what amazon is doing in the android app segment. Good information during the mingle session.

If people want to car pool, I'll be leaving Bellevue (near SE 8th) around 5:45.

I have gotten several requests for content for the presentation, Amazon has not released me to disclose the ppt that they will be presenting. All I can say is if you want to get a good overview of where they are going with respect to Kindle and mobile, it should be a good meetup. There will be several AMZN employees in attendance and they will be willing to answer questions and network.

With respect to parking, there is street parking at the venue, which should be available at 7:00 otherwise you will need to park in one of the garages, which unfortunately are not free... More information when I get it.

    Mike.

I am looking forward to attending this event. What time is this event scheduled to end?

    November 5, 2012

    • Michael A.

We have not set a specific end time, we'll kind of play it by ear, but I am expecting it to be over around 8:30 - 9.

And I just got word that AMZN will be raffling off a Kindle HD. You must be present to win.
