Hi Guys & Girls
It’s about that time again for us to get together in the city and celebrate past achievements and talk about out future ones!
First of all, I came to the realization that we have already been on 100+ kayaking trip! So it’s time for us to get together and celebrate it amongst those who were here from the beginning and those who have just joined our group.
Paddle Against Poverty
Second, we would like to introduce our new little side project to the group. One of the benefits of being part of a group like Sea Kayakers & Friends is that you get to meet and have some fun with like minded people, who in many areas share the seem views and opinions. It is because of this that we have created a campaign called “Paddle Against Poverty”. With this campaign we aim at helping different communities in developing nations around the world.
The first community that we want to help is a Deaf School in Pokhara, Nepal. The children of this school are in desperate need of any help they can get; so we are going to help them. We want to start raising funds in order for us to be able to sponsor the schools much needed sports ground.
More information will be shared on the night of the event at the event.
If you guys are interested in being part of any of the two points mentioned above or just want to come and hang out with some fellow kayakers then come along ad join us!
This event is a BYOB event. (This means that you have to bring whatever you want to drink)
There is a 7-eleven and a park n shop below the building so that makes things easier
