Day trip to Ko Lau Wan via Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park

Join paddlers on their first day of their 2 day camping trip.
We depart from Kei Ling Ha early (10am) and paddle the Tolo Channel to one of my new favourite locations, the Ho Hai Wan Marine Park for lunch. We will also visit Grass Island and a short hike or at least visit to the local fishing village.

A great place to stretch our legs. From there we will head over to a new camp site we have found with a great sunrise and view of Sharp Peak.

For the people heading home, this is the end of the trip. A short hike back to Ko Lau Wah (10 minutes) takes you to the ferry back to Wong Shek Pier and civilisation.

THINGS TO CONSIDER & PREPARE.

Bring your lunch, plenty of snacks and at least 2 water bottles. You can fill them at Kei Ling Ha so don't worry about carrying them on the MTR. When you get to the finish of the trip you will not be able to take a shower. You will be catching a ferry or speedboat from Ko Lau Wan back to Wong Shek Pier then the journey home.

The bus takes you into Sai Kung so make sure you research the best way to get home from there. Bring a day pack (and dry bag (no bigger than 15 litres) as you will be taking your dry clothes with you on the trip. this is a one way journey for you.

If the weather is cool, bring a fleece to paddle in.

Hi Dave, I'd love to join the first day trip if it'll open again. I'm using a new account here but have been with this group for a few times before with perfect record.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
