Glamour/Beauty Retouching Class by former Playboy Retoucher

Hi Members,

I attended this course last time it was offered, and consistent with Christine's tagline, it changed the way I retouch images.  The concepts are not difficult, but are not obvious without instruction.  The course uses Photoshop (any version) though I have had no problem applying the concepts with Lightroom where I prefer to do my processing.  I was thrilled to see Christine is offering this course again and highly recommend it if you are interested in quick and glamorous retouching.  By the way, the workbook she has created is very nice as well.  I hope many of you have the option to attend.  Attendance is limited, please sign up here for my tracking, but more importantly sign up on Christine's site linked below so that you can get in.  Cost is $119 for 3.5 hours instruction and materials using the Meetup discount code you receive upon RSVP'ing here.  Attendance is limited to 20 people on Christine's site.

Event description:
CRWmedia's Beauty Retouching Class returns to Seattle on Saturday, April 20th! 3.5 hours jam packed with step by step how-to's on making your images gorgeous FAST. Christine Wolfe of CRWmedia is a professional beauty retoucher with experience and published work everywhere from Playboy to Maxim and has trained staff of retail giants such as Belk and Nordstrom. These techniques are beautiful and FAST, giving you the ability to retouch a stunning portfolio and still have time to do what you love- SHOOT. The workflow is simple and a great way to begin learning your way around Photoshop. These are not your traditionally complex (read: time consuming) methods for retouching and more experienced users will benefit from shorter processing time while still turning out magazine ready prints.

Class is strictly limited to 20 participants and each will receive a CRWmedia Beauty Retouching Workbook detailing step-by-step instructions, tool settings, tips & tricks, shortcuts, etc.. We do make time to retouch submissions during our session so you can see the techniques applied directly to your own work if you choose. Have something you struggle with? Every question will be answered. This will change the way you approach retouching ;)

I'm glad those who were able to attend found the course to be beneficial and worthwhile. I hope we can offer this to our members again some time in the future.

Quick, to the point, and lots of repetition of the various tools in different contexts. Emphasis on concepts first, then how to make it happen. Excellent. This saved me SO much time over trying to learn from a book or online. While I'm not doing glamour work, I'll be able to use this for doing subtle, yet vibrant editing on my personal projects.

I thought Christine was outstanding. She was very skilled at what she showed us. She did work quickly, kept the class moving, answered our questions. I loved her laugh and especially her candor in responding to areas she was not sure about. I thought the class was more than I had hoped it would be. The continual repetition of her key points and utilization of those points with various images help me a new owner of CS6 greatly. thanks Christine

Christine was great but she was so fast that I found it difficult to follow sometimes.

Christine did a great job going over the materials. Easy to follow and understand.

Christine taught some great techniques for improving photographs in photoshop. She repeated key points throughout the class using different examples, which made it easy to remember and understand them as well as understand different options for using the tool in question. She was very knowledgeable about her tools, and focused more on photoshop features than actions procured elsewhere. This was a really excellent class.
