Dear Alan:

I’m hoping that you can continue to post on meetups.  I’m not on Facebook,  with no current plan to join.  I would miss your events.

I understand your frustration.  I no-showed on you for the Architectural Crawl, fortunately it was well attended.

Can the Meetups problem be fixed?  Could you somehow require people to confirm twice?  Can you request a $ paypal deposit/charge?

I’m hoping you can find a way to continue in this format which made it possible for me to find you, and get to know you and all the other great members.

Subject: [photo-509] Seattle Photography Group & No Shows

Hello, I've worked quite hard at bringing fun experiences to my fellow photographers through setting up meet-ups over the past year, but I've got to say that the No-Shows are getting a bit tough to handle.

Last night, out of 28 confirmed RSVPs, we had 25 no-shows!  It's not fair to your organizers or your fellow photographers to RSVP and then not show up. And this has become the norm, not the exception.

There are a core few who always participate (you know who you are) and I totally enjoy our time together.  Because the no-shows have been a trend, I am going to start creating meetups through my FACEBOOK page and NOT post them on Meetup.  So, if those of you who are regular attendees want to continue getting together, I would urge you to sign FRIEND me on Facebook as well as join the Seattle Photography Group Facebook page as I will be posting only on Facebook more and more.

Thank you.
