Hi,

Do you guys know any affordable Seattle studio available for rent by hour?

I tried calling F-stop but no-one picks up the phone. Are they out of business?

Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

They closed Oct 31. As far as I know there aren't any studios that are as affordable as F-Stop was. Are you looking for the character of F-Stop? If so was it the apartment set up, bathroom, seamless or the dark exterior areas? There are places that offer these features but not in one place.

Mostly seamless, but occasionally the dark exterior areas can be useful for me too.
If you know those places, I'll be glad to check it out.

Also, does anybody here know any offices that can be rented for business-type shoot?

Thanks,

There's a lady named Marianne who has a fabulous place for rent in SODO that would be great for a group shoot. It goes for $50 per hour $125 for half day, $225 for full day. Split between three or four shooters it would be pretty cheap studio space.

I suspect you could set up four or five backdrops in the place with room to move around. I don't think she has any lights, tho.

I'll be checking it out this Friday.

Her number is 206 295 3389.

Have you tried Aurora Studios? There was a meetup event
about two months ago that was an open house there
to just come and get acquainted with the location.

The rates were resaonable and the studio had a good amount
of floor space, a little bit of lighting equipment, and a variety of
backdrops available. The location is on the waterfront in Ballard.

The contact info I have is to email Tim at aurora@speakeasy.net
