Newbie to this medium... what materials does one need to bring along?

    February 12, 2014

    • Pat E. N.

Hi Sally. A small bucket for water, a few watercolor brushes and at least 3 primary colors of red, yellow and blue (which make all other colors on the color wheel) and a dark blue like Ultramarine is nice to darken with, if you want. Arches paper is the professional choice, and Strathmore is student grade. Michaels and A.C. Moore carry supplies, and can answer all other ?'s. You will need masking tape and a thin board to tape the watercolor paper on. Have Fun!

Hi As a co-coordinator of the workshops and lessons, I will be happy to respond to your questions. Most workshops lists specific fees and supplies needed and their costs. The fees are sent directly to the venue listed ( Kittery Art Association in this case) and this will definately hold your spot, including any friends whom you wish to bring. You are responsible for your own materials unless provided for by fee, as listed. Our classes and workshops are also advertised outside of this MEET UP site. You can also call the venue, or our gallery about materials needed. Contact me for any other questions you may have.
