How did you learn about the concept of permaculture?

In the 1960s and 1970s we studied Macrobiotics and then became "back to the land" homesteaders in Vermont, co-founding a land trust which included 4 families, each with their own dwelling, but with shared gardens and projects. Babies were born at home there, goats and a cow and horse lived there, and many lessons were learned. I think the principles of permaculture are very close to what we learned and practiced at that time.

How did you find out about this group?

Friends who are active in the group.

What do you hope to learn from this group?

I'm not sure yet, but I know there is always a lot to learn.

Do you have skills you would like to share/teach here?

I'm a long-time organic gardener and lover of natural foods, living in Eliot Maine with my husband Stephen Brandon. I've established perennial kale beds if anyone needs some kale!
