Welcome to Seacoast Outdoors, unique in New England for the diversity of our outings and adventure travel, and also for our friendliness. We do local hikes, but we also do a whole lot more including all sorts of outdoor travel and adventures, from whitewater rafting in Maine to hiking or mountain biking in Utah. Additionally, there’s a sense of camaraderie here that many say is missing from other groups. Meeting and enjoying the company of like-minded people is as important as the activity or the destination. And when you join one of our hikes, bike rides, snowshoe, skiing, kayak, or adventure travel trips, you’ll be introduced and welcomed when you arrive, treated with respect if you’re a beginner, and invited for food or a drink after we finish.

Unlike many meetup groups, you'll notice that our local events require small fees to participate. And here's why: At Seacoast Outdoors, we plan creative and interesting activities
in a professional manner. I research destinations, make reservations, and do everything possible to ensure our safety and enjoyment. So while many meetup groups do not charge fees, if you compare our offerings instead to adventure travel or tour guide companies, Seacoast Outdoors is quite a bargain. It takes a lot of time and a great many expenses to manage an active outdoors group well. The fees are small, however, about the cost of the glass of beer or wine you might have after the event. And I hope that you’ll decide that what you get in return is worth much more.  If you're skeptical, send me an email, come to an event, and I'll refund your money if our group or the event was not enjoyable enough. (Excluding lodging, meals, weather-related incidents, etc!)

And it takes a bit of courage to join up with a group of strangers, so we try very hard to make everyone feel at home. There are usually a few newcomers at each event and we make every attempt to welcome and introduce everyone when you arrive. My goal is to make this group the friendliest place in New England to enjoy the outdoors.

Please contact me with any questions.

Kind Regards,
Lorenzo!
