I would like to provide Photoshop classes that are broken down to reflect your level of comfort with the program, beginners, intermediate and custom classes for those members who have a specific question or project. Let me know what you think.
Tim contact John as he is the admin and ask him about setting it up for you with the date time address and a contact phone number we can reach you with I will gladly attend
October 6
Does anyone know how to set up a meeting, or can do it? I am concerned that this process may drag on and on without any progress.
September 14
Yes, I would like to do this again soon. But I do not have permission to set up events on this site. An administrator of the site has to do that.
September 14
Can we arrange another meeting? Sunday pm seemed to work for many people (as far as the time went). Tim, if your place is still available it is up to you as to when. I am not the organiser, I would just like to get this moving. Anyone else got any better/other ideas?
September 13
Can we re-arrange a meeting and make sure that everyone has the correct venue?
September 9
I went to the Post Rd address and found no meeting. I was sad--but hopefully I will make the next one.
September 9
There was a mix-up with the address for the meeting and so only 3 of us turned up (thanks Kathy for remembering the other address ).
September 9
I am being told that everyone got some email claiming the address had changed. So, I do not know how that happened Because it wasn't me that changed it. I have two business locations... Our meeting was set up by me at 180 Lafayette road, Bldg 2A, North Hampton NH,... I have a second business location Off of post road, in Greenland NH... No idea how this changed.
September 9
WRONG ADDRESS DON"T KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED Correct address is 180 Lafayette Road North Hampton NH

Hi. I'm Leigh Pfosi. I'll be. Coming today's, but just now saw the potluck part. I probably won't have time to participate. . But am happy to next time. Zee you all soon!
September 9
I have about 10 chairs so, anybody that can... please bring a folding chair... As far as the studio lights, I don't know if the plan is to do any shooting today... Might be cool to incorporate some shot-to-finish print later on... But, I don't think that was the plan this time.
September 9
I don't know where I am on the expert -- beginner spectrum. I use some parts of PS but I know enough to know I don't know enough.
September 8
Oh someone asked about about "bringing a laptop"... I do all of my work on a laptop... so I didn't think to mention it... But it would probably be easier to take note or be in your version of photoshop while people are sharing... Since this first Meet-up is sort of a "show and Tell" and figuring out how we will proceed... Having your compy or laptop my not be necessary... If your stuff isn't on a laptop... be sure you bring EVERYTHING you need to do your participation... including a power-strip and extension cord.
September 5
There is no cost to this first potluck and share... other than the food and time. We'll decide as a group about the format, how often we meet, etc. If you don't or can't cook bring a bag of chips or a $5 cooked chicken from the store or veggy tray... not a big deal. This is about coordinating how we all go forward to learn more about Photoshop... Maybe we all share some things we know... or maybe (as a group) we try to hire someone (from Photoshop) to fly out and do a workshop.... or?
September 4
How about Sunday Sept 9th at 4 til....?
Pot Luck and Photoshop Share?
180 Lafayette Road Bldg 2A, North Hampton, NH 03862

This all continues to sound great to (for) me. I’m really excited about this class; really hope it comes together.
August 26
Sunday afternoons and some evenings work for me. Starting from the basics, here, but could do "homework" and eventually share a tip. I hope this pans out!
August 26
With a little bit of Prep, our store front in North Hampton can be made ready most any Evening... I just need a about 10 days to make sure everything is "ready"... If a weekend is good for most people ... Then Sunday during the afternoon would work best.
Maybe, we could start off with some kind of share, where each person brings in a couple of there proud samples they've made from photoshop (if any, but none required) so that whomever share the next week has some kind of Idea where most people are beginning from and the really cool ones can inspire the rest of us.
August 21
Re: Deb's suggestion, I agree that in the absence of a photoshop "professional," there is certainly a lot of knowledge we could all share. (my understanding is that finding a "teacher" has been the obstacle to this meetup for a long time). So, maybe we could make a signup where each person covers one tip, trick, or tool (e.g., a 15-minute lesson). Or, we could make the signup sheet based on suggestions from what people want to learn or have questions about, and then you can signup to teach accordingly. Just some thoughts to feed this great discussion!
August 26
Have any dates/locations been decided upon yet? I would be interested depending on the above.
August 26
f this does come about, (sure hope it does :-) I will absolutely be there for an early evening, mid-week class schedule. Weekends tend to be booked up with photo jobs, meet ups (especially come fall) and the ever present family obligations. If this ends up on weekends I will most likely have to invest in a class outside of our group. Either way I hope to find something very soon. I really need to learn both PS and Lightroom from the basics up.
August 21
As Andy said this has been a topic for months! It seems like there is enough interest when can we begin?
August 20
Tim, I don't think you'd be stepping on anyones toes. From the looks of the comments, this has been on the chopping block for several months now. If it turns out to be something other than what was originally intended, it can always be done again. I personally think there should be a series on photoshop. I don't know much about editing landscape, but I could teach about editing portrait/model type work. I've thought about offering to host a class on how to use Lightroom as I'm good with this as well.
August 19
I’d love it if this class got up and running. Any instruction would be much appreciated. The recent offer of space sounds great. I’m going to stay posted in hopes that it comes together!
August 19
Ok, I do not want to step on anyone's toes... or get out of line on anything... I've only been on this meetup a couple of days in this group. I would just like to hang out with fellow shutter bugs. I offered my place to help get this class idea going... If the class morphs into sharing you favorite photoshop idea over coffee or a pot luck... I'm ok with that too but, I don't want to jump in the middle of somebody else's thing and change it without their head nod... Does anybody know the moderator or teacher of this class... if so please check with them and make sure this is cool.
August 18
I like the idea Chris, it's a good start for those of use who really could use some beginner's help with some of this software.
August 18
I could also share a lot of tips about layers, masking, filters, adjustments, etc. I couldn't teach the course, but could offer a lot of common practices. In lieu of a photoshop course, maybe this could take on the form of a "share your top 3 tips" kind of thing?
August 18
It sounds like Tim's location would be a good space. I have a lot of knowledge when it comes to photoshop and would be able to help out if needed. Or if anyone has any tricks that they could share with me!
August 18
I use photoshop on a regular basis as a way to polish up my digital proofs and I have goofed around with it a little. I know I could use it for more. I have a store front in North Hampton NH just 5 mins south of Portsmouth City limits with LOTS of parking. I use it for our stone and mineral business as a warehouse but, would easily seat 20 people at tables...
August 18
Hi John,
Just wondering if any progress was being made with this meetup... I am very interested - and also would like to help locate a spot for it. What type of spot are you looking for? Any special requirements? Let me know.
May 31
What are the space requirements? Maybe I can build it... with my rokenbok. Or, locate one, with the clues you provide.

Hey everyone I tried to get a free place to hold this meet up but wasn't able to. We can hold it at The Town Hall is available for use. The cost is $75 per day. The Recreation department has rental space that is $40 per day and can be scheduled through 773-6151 if that's an option.

Doreen, also check with the Seacoast School of Technology (if you haven't already) they might be open to classes too.
