Slow Wine Guide Publication Party Monday, January 30, 2012 (6:30pm to 9:00pm) Calling all wine and food enthusiasts! Slow Food and Slow Food NYC present the first-ever English publication of the Slow Wine Guide at a walk-around wine tasting featuring over 140 wines from 60+ Slow Wine producers. The guide adopts a new approach to wine criticism and looks at a variety of factors to evaluate wineries in their entirety, taking into consideration the wine quality, typicity and adherence to terroir, value for money, environmental sensitivity and ecologically sustainable viticultural practices. Tickets: $35 for members of Slow Food NYC / $40 for general admission available at: slowwineguidenyc.eventbrite.com Admission includes a complimentary copy of the Slow Wine guide and a commemorative wine glass. Light food pairings will be provided. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Slow Food NYC.
