I always mooched off the other kids as I was one of 4. I can remember riding a big wheel. My neighbors had a sweet GI Joe set and some Transformers. A self created nerd's paradise of green boxed animal cards consumed many hours. My buddy and I would play war using the facts on the back of each animal card. The most joy inducing "toy" was the sprinkler that my brothers and my sister would set up in the back yard. Kill an hour jumping and sliding on the lawn. Sometimes we would provide involuntary car washes/decorations to passing cars.
I do not know when I was last carded and I might not notice if I was called "sir". I have called many a "sir" or "ma'am" as a former enlisted member of the army reserve.
That's tough! I would have been able to experience the colorful history of the 60s, not that I could have gotten in a concise Forrest Gump "experience". I would see more Super Bowl success with my favorite professional football team. If I was born in the 90s, I would have more computer skills. I would have been beaten up by my now elder little brothers. Nevertheless, in the spirit of being able to connect with many people I could not before, I choose the 90s.
Hi! I have been in Seattle off and on for over 10 years. Looking forward to meeting new people.
