I live in Wallingford and would love to play more music! I play intermediate mandolin, guitar, all kinds of recorders and penny whistles, can read music, love to sing, and have hardly played since my son was born 5 years ago. I'm ready to play!
Mandolin, guitar, recorders, piano, vocals. Intermediate level, keen to get back into playing more music. Want to learn lots of new songs for jamming, esp. bluegrass and gyspy jazz, but also really love celtic and cape breton music. I'm also open to hosting jams at my house, and we have a big studio called OmCulture here in Wallingford which can hold up to 250 people.
I'm interested in grafting too. I will need a left-handed grafting knife. I have an orchard filled with very young trees. I don't know if they are approriate for taking scion cuttings from. Apples, cherry, plums, persimmon, fig, almond, pluot, pears (asian and european).
I agree with John on the timing of things. Now is a great time to cut scion wood and refrigerate it as he suggests. We should NOT refrig. them WITH apples, as apples will stimulate their growth process.
