A local lawyer with Northwest Animal Rights Network will outline everything an animal rights activist needs to know in this day and age. She'll outline First Amendment (free speech) rights. Stay safe, be smart, and know your rights!

Part 2's presentation in December will cover Fourth Amendment (search and seizure), Fifth Amendment (self-incrimination) and Sixth Amendment (right to counsel) rights.

We have the upstairs room at Cafe Allegro reserved, which is on NE 42nd in the alley between University Way and 15th Ave, directly across from the University of Washington campus, and behind Magus Books (1408 NE 42nd St) . The stairwell to the upstairs room is between the two main rooms; first door on the left at the top of the stairs. (We'll have lots of signs pointing the way.) Phone Café Allegro (206) 633-3030 for directions.

David: Sorry, I cannot make this important meeting. Please send notes, website, and experts I can call on this. I need info & consultants for my work on animal abuse and animal cruelty & protection law making. From dealing with 'lil gov guys & girls lawmakers to directing police on enforcement to contact with sentencing judges AND getting cases in the media. ~RON [masked] - THANK YOU.

I learned a ton and feel like I can be a more effective activist now with the knowledge I gained.

This meetup was great for activists to understand their First Amendment rights. The speaker did an excellent job explaining situations pertaining to the First Amendment as well as giving AR case precedents.
    •  An excellent presentation with very crucial information that every activist needs to know. Stay tuned for Part 2!
