First, thanks to all for the wonderful information on tutorials, companies and kits. Next a practical question, is parking available behind the INS building?

    April 3, 2014

    • Budi M.

Street parking are available after 6pm. There are plenty parking on 6th Avenue just a half block away East of Inscape.

Every space in the upper lot is reserved 24 hours 7 days a week. Everyone else has the option of parking in the lower lot for $4 a day.

I'm feeling flu-like, so not going to make it… so I guess this won't be my first time, but I am very much looking forward to joining this Meetup soon!

Adafruit is great. Sparkfun is a bit cheaper, with a larger catalog. This kit is the most beginner-friendly introduction to Arduino and circuits I have found: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12001

Hi everyone. I'm trying to get started with Arduino. Any suggestions on what I need to buy and where I can find introductory type workshops?

    Thanks!

      The adafruit tutorials are fantastic.

Looks like everyone is definitely recommending starting with adafruit. Does anyone have experience with Microview?http://techcrunch.com...

What should we bring? What should we expect? (this will be my first meetup with the group)

Tyler - is this the summary for what will be presented? or just sharing good info? :-)

      April 2, 2014

    • Tyler F.

It is just information. What is presented is rather free-form, based on what people have been doing. I'll show how to make an Arduino into a cyclometer.
