Welcome to one of Seattle's newest esoteric meetups! This group is for anyone looking to learn more about the theory and practice of modern astrology.
It's easy to read astrology columns in newspapers and magazines, and hear pop culture astrologers on television telling us "our future is in the stars", whatever that means... inquisitive minds know there is more to the field than that. Many people learn about astrology for many different reasons- for personal growth, after a strange encounter, to develop healthier relationships, to understand other people better, for scholarly satisfaction.
Whatever the reason, we need to discover whether and how it WORKS, for ourselves.
Join the Seattle Astrology Study Meetup to meet other people who are interested in the mechanics of astrology and horoscope technique. Working from the NCGR's Education Curriculum and Study Guide and other texts, we will broaden and deepen our knowledge of astrology, its historical and modern use, and its relationship to other fields such as astronomy, psychology, philosophy, and the liberal arts.
