“ Very fun folks, I enjoyed meeting all of them. Anytime you find a group of folks that like to laugh and are that laid back you know you have found folks worth knowing :-) ”
— A former member on Mar 26, 2007.
“ The Seattle Browncoats are now officially the largest Firefly/Serenity meetup group in the UNIVERSE - and still growing! Way to go 'Coats! ”
— Serena on Mar 30, 2008.
“ I'm pleasantly surprised at the kindness and lack of posturing in this group. I always look forward to invitations to events, but usually can only attend if they are welcoming to kids as well. As most are these days, we find ourselves RSVPing "yes" more often. Thanks for all the good work in building this community! ”
— Corey Jean on Mar 13, 2006.
“ Firefly, Serenity, Browncoats... need I go on? :o) ”

“ No expectations. Move at your own pace, from jump-in-with-both-feet to distant observer (but trust me-you aren't going to be just observing very long). Nice variety of ages. No pretensions, just lots of hard-core sci-fi fans with strong opinions about Star Wars and Star Trek---and of course! Firefly! ”
— Augustus Robustus on Jul 16, 2008.
“ Aside from Firefly being amazing? The people are great and a pleasure to be around. :) ”

“ The Seattle chapter of the Browncoats is a wonderful group of people. They're real, sincere, and totally geek-ish! Sure, we all come from different walks of life, have some differing interests, and have different lives, but we have one thing in common: we are as much in love with Joss Whedon's "baby" as he is. You'll have no problem fitting in if you feel the same way. ”
— Danielle on Jul 18, 2009.
“ Good crowd, fun to be with and not pushy about your participation level but open and willing to accept you. Highest accolades for that. Also very giving and thoughtful folks, these. ”

“ The Seattle Browncoats are a great group of folks. Friendly, welcoming, intelligent, witty, loyal, generous, chisel-jawed, beautiful... all the things you expect browncoats to be. :) A great group to find yourselves amongst, to make new friends, new family. I count myself as extremely lucky to be able to hang out with these fine folk. ”

—A former member on Apr 17, 2006.
“ Well, I didn't get with any one from the group at all. Arrived too late for the 'lunch' proposal and with the wind up of the wind storm, just got in line to get into the theater as quick as possible. Didn't 'see' any obvious grouping, did talk to one guy wearing a 'Blue Sun' t-shirt though he wasn't signed up for Meet up, just had been a browncoat.com guy and is a fan of the 'verse. Gave him the web address and chatted a bit. Better luck next meet up, maybe? Probably shoulda been bolder and done a shout out, eh? ”
— Laurel Parshall on Feb 5, 2006.
“ This was my first time attending an event with this group - so I didn't know anyone. I didn't really get aquainted with anyone at the event - though everyone seemed nice. I will try to attend other events in the future. ”
— Andrew (Drew) on Mar 30, 2009.
“ You need to get out of the house. ”
—A former member on Mar 28, 2009.
“ I would be interested in joining but 10:30 is early for us and I fear our kids would just be a nuisance... even though they are well-behaved. I'd really like to do some gaming eventually, just picked up the new serenity 'Out in the Black' RPG and am studying to GM. This may not be the right venue. ”
— Jodi on Apr 23, 2007.
“ interesting atmo. we left early due to feeling kinda claustrophobic and antsy. ”
— elly on Sep 30, 2006.
“ A fun group of people who do not take themselves too seriously. Friendly, and seem to enjoy the Firefly/Serenity "Verse" without acting like fanatics! A great way to meet some new friends, and enjoy a couple hours, and wish there were more episodes of Firefly. ”
— Cory on Nov 21, 2006.
