Well, dang it all - my timeframe went all catty-wampus! Here I was thinking to roll up 2 things in one visit & now that's all discombobulated. I've committed to being supportive at MedFest Dance show for a friend-who's performing at -- yes, 4:30pm - Can't 'jump' from West Seattle to Mohai by no stretch o my tailpipes. Jes' haf to slink on over to EqNow & make a straight donation - sorry to miss all the fun!

Gin and Tonic...with a twist! No chance of malaria for this Browncoat. ;)

Steampunks and Firefly; goes together kind of like Gin and Tonic. So, does that mean that Firefly without Steampunks leads to Malaria? It's worth investigating. But why take the risk?

    •  I don't think I've ever seen that many 'Jayne hats' in a single room! xD It was a blast! I haven't been able to see Serenity on that big of a screen in quite a while, so I was in heaven! Not to mention, I don't think I've ever seen that many Browncoats in one place. It was good to know the community is that strong.
    •  Great venue and great people. A minor gripe was with the catering group... when the meat choice was reserved, the impression was given that we would be guaranteed a full burger. Once there, we had to enforce a 3/4 burger policy, which was hard. They kept up with demand for a while, but then it came to the point when we were waiting for one or two trays... and the chicken burgers depleted sooner than expected, due to them being cut in halves, despite the 3/4 policy. But I did what I could to help, so hopefully they'll like us enough to have us back next year.

While it's always awesome to see Serenity and Dr. Horrible on the big screen, there were some logistical challenges that the organizers faced with the buffet dinner. Nothing so bad that I wouldn't do it again next year, but they were pretty brow furrowing.
    •  Great group of people and a great cause!

I'm exhausted but very pleased with how it all turned out! Just wait till next year... :D

I loved it! Well, my burger was only 0.75 of a burger, and was cold, dry, and a little icky, but otherwise it was a lot of fun!
    •  It was fun, well organized, had some awesome people, and we got to see the best movie ever made.
    •  Other than the people who couldn't help say the words out loud even after being asked not to (a risk we all take in any theater) it was a blast. This is speaking only for the movie/raffle but as usual, Browncoats are uniformly cool people. Great movie, fun time, super location (shame it's going away).
    •  I just don't have the words. We'll try to be there again next year!
    •  Awesome! Terrific screening, great cause. Next year I have to buy tickets at least a month early so I can hit any special events... :) Rode out on motorcycle with Serenity sticker too. :) :)

We enjoyed every part of it. I thought the red shash people were very helpful. Next year I hope to be asked to help. I think you could have had a trivia questions part, even if it was just outside in the line up before the doors opened. I sorta missed the costume parade because it was at the back of the room and we just didn't see it. Bet it was great. Love
    •  Fantastic! Great movie, great site, great singalong.
    •  I really loved being able to see the movie with a group of fans. The theater was great. An amazing amount of effort went into the event which I really appreciated. It was unfortunate that the reception dinner was oversold and a bunch of people were left stading around without tables/chairs. I just left at that point (without waiting for dinner to be served). It seemed that bit of the evening could have used a bit more planning.
