Seattle Browncoats Charities is proud to present the 9th annual "Can't Stop the Serenity" charity fundraiser. Join us on Saturday, July 19th at Central Cinema for two very special screenings of Joss Whedon's Serenity (2005):
2:00 pm matinee - a "family-friendlier" movie screening with pre-show entertainment, a costume... contest, and a raffle; $15 (+ fees) presale / $18 at the door - tickets online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/seattle-csts-2014-tickets-11892497781
7:00 pm evening show - back by popular request, our "Special Hell" version features the movie with texting-to-screen Hecklevision available to all cell phones present (texting charges may apply), with pre-show entertainment, a costume contest, and a raffle; $18 (+ fees) presale / $22 at the door - tickets online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/seattle-csts-2014-tickets-11892497781
Kids are welcome at either showing. We trust parents to use discretion and judgment as to what your kids can/can't handle. Remember the movie is rated PG-13, and know that Hecklevision is NOT censored in any way. You've been warned!
A full menu and bar is available at the dinner-theater style Central Cinema, so bring your appetite! Each showing will have a costume contest, so dress up in your best Firefly-inspired costume - all costumed attendees get a prize! We will also be offering our Whedon-inspired wares in the lobby if you need another cunning hat or spare set of pint glasses.
Proceeds from CSTS 2014 will support Equality Now, MOHAI, and Seattle Browncoats Charities (for the next awesome event)!
