It is with great sorrow and grief that I send a wave to our Browncoat crew, both near and far, that one of our members; Morgan - husband to Kikki; has unexpectedly passed away today.
We grieve together on the loss of a good man and a faithful Browncoat. Morgan gave his time and good humor to our shindigs and gatherings and he will be greatly missed. Our regularly scheduled Domino Day will be on hiatus this upcoming Sunday, Sept. 14th but several of our crew will be at the Wayward Coffeehouse around 11:30 a.m. to raise a latte or two in Morgan's memory. Information on formal memorial services will be coming in the near future. Please keep Kikki in your thoughts these upcoming weeks. For those who didn't know Morgan well, he was the real deal, a genuine nice guy. I can't say enough nice words about Morgan, and can't think of a bad one. Kikki and Morgan were a dream couple, not perfect, but pretty gorram close. I feel happy to have known Morgan. Even on days that he wasn't feeling good, he pitched in and put on a sincere smile.
We have lost a friend. |

I didn't know Morgan very long, but I consider him a friend. Our hearts are with Kikki and their families. If there's anything we can do, you know where to find us.

For those who have the time today (Sunday, Sept 15th) to head up to Kikki and Morgan's place in Marysville, there will be an informal BBQ from 2:00 pm till whenever. Anyone who wants to have a bite to munch and a chance to see friends, feel free to come on up.
There is some planning for a gathering on Wednesday, Sept. 17th that is in progress. Tentative details - on the grounds of Seattle Center near the Mural Stage sometime around 2:00 pm. For those who cannot make it during the day, the gathering will continue later in the evening in Marysville at Kikki and Morgan's place. Please stay tuned for final details to come. Highlight for directions - these will be deleted in the next couple days --- Edited by Traevynn on Sep 18, 2009 5:12 PM |

There are plenty of folks who can give rides to whoever needs them (Mara, I'm looking at you), so don't hesitate to ask.

Would it be okay for after work? I'll try to make it to the Seattle Center on Wednesday, but unfortunately I might not get off of work.
I've been thinking about Kikki and Morgan all weekend and even though I only knew Morgan a bit less than a years, I'm still going to miss him... A lot. |

I was out of town until today (Saturday the 20th) so I just found out and I write this with tears for Kikki's loss but also for the whole Browncoats crew. A guy like Morgan is a gift to everyone around and there is a gap now. I'm so sorry I wasn't around to be of timely support for this. More later. Gonna go have a cry.
