Scarred South LFR: Malice of Mintar

Who's going to be around this December? I'm getting my family visit and game day done before this, so probably only one this month. For now, I'm putting a little more following necromancers on Sundays and a little more gathering scaly minions on Fridays.

Important: I will be limiting the maximum (but not minimum) table sizes strictly as in the campaign rules, as in my experience, having to fight just to be heard and wait for everyone to argue and to take turns is not fun. This means that, although people who don't sign up will be accommodated as possible, they will be the most likely to miss out on playing altogether.

Priority will go to those who post actual comments here stating their ability to participate (preferably with some idea of what levels and types of characters you have available). Almost no one bothered to use the Warhorn stuff, but few people are following this caveat either, so be warned that you are not guaranteed a seat.

I forgot my printer does not work. Can someone print mine for me? Or know of a place I can print it out.

Any library would print that. But I think Card Advantage, the store you're playing at, might print it also for a quarter a page.

So what do I need to bring with me. New to LFR but not to 4th. If no one is a defender I'd like to play one.

You can start a character of 5th level with most anything under the standard rules other than rare items. As far as I know, no one is planning to play a defender this time, but it's not too bad to have two of those anyway.

OK, we should have at least one more person in any case. I'll probably try to get CALI3-1 "Malice of Mintar" (1-10) ready, planning to run at around AL 6.

    You can count me in.

It also seems we have lost Jacob and gained a Ben. I was going to ask him what character he'd play at AL 6, but my Internet (including various back-up measures) is not working well enough foe me to be able to get the creatures needed for the mod I was intending ready. Again, it seems that "Eclipse" is under a bad moon. Big Red has offered to run MINI2-1 (1-4) for more people, but even with me (who just played it last weekend), we barely have enough people to pretend we have one table. I'll talk to peeps tonight, but no promises.

Sorry to have to do this, but family stuff came up and now this Sunday has been taken away from me. Happy holidays everyone.

Do you live in Fairwood? That doesn't seem that far out of the way from the perspective of someone who has to take more buses than that to get to Mike's house. It's up to you to decide whether you want to spend $5 for this or ask someone for help. I guess Grady would be happy if you didn't.

Should I just make a 6th level martial striker to keep pace with the controllers? I will remake the character anyway since Banacapalata is retired.

I guess the disallowance of creating characters at every level does encourage people to keep using their characters for some time, at least. Eric Bana can be almost completely rebuilt every time he gains a level anyway. I'm thinking that people like Mike and Big Red may be switching characters around somewhat so they don't outpace the two who are invested in the storyline (such as it is).

OK, we have unconfirmed Rod (arcane controller 6), Mike (divine leader 7), Jacob (martial striker 5?), and Big Red (psionic leader 7?). If Jacob makes it, remind me to give him his certificate and rewards for ELTU4-4 "The Fall of Elturgard."

    y r u switching bac to sundays?

    November 23, 2013

    • archlords

I'm not. I just wanted to make sure I could include both of the two people in the entire year who actually cared about the story and not just killing things. We'll see how my jumping around works in the long run.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
