Scourge of the Sword Coast - D&D Encounters

Check out the latest video from Wizards of the Coast regarding the events that befell in Icewind Dale.  Truly epic and I'm grateful for having had the experience of running for my group and seeing how they contributed.

The Sundering is a momentous event that will bring to an end the Era of Upheaval and change the face of the Forgotten Realms forever. Gods, nations and many mortals strive to see their vision of the future imprinted on to the world of Faerûn and even beyond, reshaping the fabric of the cosmos itself.

Scourge of the Sword Coast is the third adventure in the Encounters related Sundering adventures.  Savage humanoids are raiding the countryside around Daggerford, causing victims of their attacks to seek out the shelter of the town. Stressed from the weight of the refugees, it's up to a brave group of adventurers to end the raids and free Daggerford from its plight.

Over the course of this huge story event, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of Faerûn and make your story legend.

Rob is running the adventure using 4e rules for his group that is continuing from last season.  River is running a second table using the DnD Next Playtest rules.  Players are welcome to make their own characters for DnD Next and there are also 2nd level pre-gen characters available.

Even with half my group out we still managed to advance the story quite a bit. Deciding caution was the better part of valor and in pursuit of a necromancer responsible for one PCs death and revival as a revenant, the group left the Village of Julkoun and made their way to Firehammer Hold.

Even with a smaller group than usual, Rib rocked the session.

Do you allow audience folk to watch the game? I'm curious about how D&D works and would like to observe
