A charity semi-Black Tie/Black & White Affair

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Members of The American Medical Association, Asian Physicians Network and Doctors Without Borders cordially invite you to join them at their annual semi-Black Tie/Black & White Party. Doesn't matter you are in medical or non-medical professions, been doing volunteer work or just interested in start volunteering; come celebrate the New Year, have fun and meet others who are making contributions back to our society.

Attire: It is preferred that you dress up in formal black tie attire or your black and white bests, such as suit, nice black pants and a white button down shirt, black and/or white cocktail dresses.

The event starts at 6pm on January 5th at the function room of The Olivian.

Admission is $10, and there will be a cash wine bar so please bring cash.

The Genesis Project offers hope for a new life to young women and girls involved in Domestic Minor Sex-Trafficking (DMST) in the South King County area.

This is not a Genesis Project sponsored event but if you would like to make donations to the Genesis Project, please make your cheques payable to The Genesis Project and drop off at the reception desk. No cash donations accepted.

Also, they opened the Drop-in Center in August 2011, it has laundry facilities, showers and places to sleep, and the girls receive food, shelter, clothing, resources, and referrals to long term shelters and rehabilitation programs as needed.

In order to keep their doors open and continue to help victims of trafficking, and work toward building more comprehensive programs to rehabilitate these victims.

They are in need of:

· Sweatpants/shirts

· Tea/Coffee

· Food – things like frozen dinners, breakfast foods (OJ, waffles, milk butter, jam, etc), popcorn, snacks, etc.

· Laundry Detergent/Dryer Sheets

· Dish soap

· Blankets/comforters
