Tuesday, Feb 11th, 2014 (7-9pm, Free guided practice 9-9:30)
• "Exploring Musicality" - The Powerful Third Partner of Self-Expression & Connection (7-9pm): An amazing class for appreciating how music becomes the third partner in your self-expression & dance connection. Learn to create movement together that reflects the pulse and dynamic of the sound and rhythm you are hearing. Plus, explore the world of dancing to alternate a-typical songs (for a variety of dance genre's), and develop a better understanding of how movement is often defined by the music (All Levels)
Wednesday, Feb 12th, 2014 (7-9pm, Free guided practice 9-9:30)
• "The Family of Latin Dance" - Learn how Merengue, Salsa, Cha Cha, and Rhumba are all connected, historically, musically, and rhythmically! (7-9pm) Plus fun moves you can steal from one and blend into the other. (Non-novice, intermediate level, basic salsa or cha cha dance and partner skills assumed).
China Harbor, 2040 Westlake Ave N., Seattle, WA. There is plenty of free parking available. Doors to the dance hall open at 6:45. Come early to sign in, change shoes, stretch, warm up, etc. China Harbor has a full bar and dinner menu as well.
Tuesday's Workshop is ALL LEVELS; Wednesday's is for NON-NOVICE/INT (familiarity with the basic salsa or cha cha step and pivot turn is recommended)
