Photographic Prints Show & Tell

Let's share some work! The analog way.

We'll get together WEDNESDAY May 15th to share our work in printed form – as traditional photographic prints and inkjet prints (or similar).

As always, this will be a very informal meetup with snacks and drinks. Please feel free to bring something to share, but is not expected / necessary.

Bring prints of any shape, size and subject matter to share with the group. Please expect your prints to be handled, but done so respectfully. This isn't a gallery show where we will hang prints, but more of an interactive, show-and-tell.

Can't wait to see some great work – OFFLINE for once! =)

For those who didn't attend the last meetup, the Kiss Cafe is a fantastic place to grab a quick dinner and/or drink with about 100 different bottled beers to choose from. We'll meet there first, then walk over to the studio where we'll have food and drinks too.

Please CALL me if you arrive after 6:30 at[masked] or you won't find us. The studio is unmarked and in a building down the street a bit.

Thanks Abby, for suggesting this meetup!

Thanks to everyone as well. I missed talking about all the different techniques, cameras and film types. I enjoyed meeting you all and seeing everyone's work.

Hopefully this will give me a kick to shoot more film and process old rolls just sitting in a box. I want to try the Diafine developer it sounds amazing and easy.

Thanks to everyone for their gracious hospitality. I certainly felt welcome. It was especially good for me to see that one of my loves - B&W photography is still alive and definitely kicking. I saw some elegant prints and just to hear photographers talking about work, equipment and process was a treat. Thanks again.

Thanks to all who attended and help make this Meetup successful. Abby - for suggesting the Meetup and reserving the space. Rick, Sam and others for brining snacks and drinks to share. There were lots of new faces at this meetup and tons of great work. Fun to see the variety of artistic style, method and materials used.

Great time and I really enjoyed meeting everyone and viewing your work. Their were certainly a number of folks who not only displayed their photographs but demonstrated their passion for working with film and creating a print image! Some of the camera equipment used to create the images that we discussed was decades old and some of the photographs displayed were decades old as well. A fun time and look forward to doing again in the future.

Thanks Jeannie - agreed! Looks like we'll have a great turnout. I think quite a few of us are bringing prints so there should be plenty to review.

There is a Kickstarter campaign for a company that creates large silver gelatin prints using digital photographic laser technology. Campaign ends in 3 days.
