The Breakfast (Film) Club

Somewhat inspired by the gatherings in the 19th century in Paris by Monet, Renoir and their friends who would oppose the Salon, this meetup – suggested by Michael – is a weekly, Saturday morning breakfast + photo walk. Come together for a coffee, breakfast and a stroll through town with camera in hand.

This is a recurring, weekly meetup. Only 2 RSVPs are needed each week for this meetup to take place.

This meetup location changes weekly to experience new food and places to shoot. The location should be set by the Thursday before the meetup by those who have RSVPed; please use the comment option to discuss locations. No changes on Friday or Saturday please.

Bring some work to share if you like – prints if possible, or on a tablet, etc. Only requirement is it needs to be film work.

Those attending should check the meetup event description and recent comments before attending to verify the location and time.

If you plan to attend , we highly recommend that you RSVP  so that you will receive emails about event changes and so that we know that you are coming.

After the meetup, please feel free to process your photos and upload them to our Flickr group with the tag 'Breakfast Club.'

Too bad I can't go this time. Have a blast! The parade is always fun.

With all the goings-on in Fremont this weekend, someplace in Fremont might be a good place for this week's venue. How about Canal Street Coffee? http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/1/394231/restaurant/Fremont/Canal-Street-Coffee-Seattle

I took a look on the Web and a number of sites list Canal Street Coffee as closed. Any alternatives? Solsticio, at the bottom of Stone Way?

It is my understanding the parade/festivities start at 1:30. Is this correct. If so is anyone planning on hanging around to take pictures?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
