Do you shoot film? What do you love about it?

I like the whole process. I buy bulk and roll it, to save money and shoot more. I like thinking instead of chimping. I like developing and printing. It makes me feel like I've done something real.

What's your favorite film-camera-lens combination and why?

I use Kentmere 400 for 35mm. I started using it because it was cheap, but I got to like it a lot. Hp5 plus 400 for medium. As for gear, I'll use anything all mechanical. I've got quite a collection of m42 lenses going. But mostly lately, I've been shooting the Rolleiflex old standard and a c44r with the fifty.

What do you hope to get out of this Meetup?

Since I do my own repair work and film processing at home, I don't really meet other film photographers much. I feel like I'm missing an important part of it all.

I got into film to slow down and learn to think more about the shot. It worked a little too well.
