SGC is a volunteer nonprofit social group for gay male couples from all walks of life. We provide an opportunity for you and your partner to meet other gay couples, build lifelong friendships and explore gay-related issues of interest to you. We sponsor a variety of social events throughout the year.
SGC has been in existence in the Seattle area for more than 25 years. To become a member or learn more about us, visit our website: www.seattlegaycouples.org.
Mission of SGC
Seattle Gay Couples is a non-profit social club that facilitates social activities for gay male couples for the purpose of validating, promoting, and strengthening healthy relationships and building community across the greater Puget Sound region.
About our Members
Everyone is welcome at SGC and you are sure to find couples who share your interests among our membership. SGC is composed of member couples who have been together anywhere from a few months to several decades. We come from diverse cultural, social, and professional backgrounds but have a common interest in friendship and camaraderie.
Our Activities
3x3 Dinner Groups
When you sign up for the dinner rotation, you are matched with two other couples. Each couple hosts the other two over the course of a three month period. Dinner doesn’t have to be dinner, it could be an afternoon picnic at a park, a trip to a museum, or any other mutually agreed upon activity.
Bowling
Own your own bowling ball and shoes? You'll show most of us up for sure, but we have a great time nonetheless. About every three months SGC sponsors an afternoon of bowling. Frequently held on Sunday at the Garage on Capitol Hill, we have a late afternoon game, accompanied by good food, drinks, and plenty of gutter balls. Join us, you'll have a . . . really good time.
Annual Picnic
The SGC Annual Picnic is held once a year at a Seattle area park. SGC provides hamburgers and drinks, and couples bring a dish to pass. It is a family gathering for everyone, with socializing, volleyball, and Frisbee.
Valentine's Day Dinner
Each February SGC takes over at a Seattle area restaurant for an evening of socializing, good food, and a few fun games. The menu is fixed price and pre-registration is required.
Potlucks
Potlucks are frequently held at member couple's houses. Bring your hand made pasta and vegetable's from your garden, or introduce the crowd to the great deli or bakery down the road from your place. Everything is welcome, so these events are a no pressure way to get together.
