Saturday Morning Rise & Shine Run!

We'll be meeting at 7am in the center of the parking lot next to the bathhouse theater. Our goal is to have something for everyone whether you are just starting out or training for a big race. Walkers, joggers and runners are welcome to join on in. We typically try and do longer runs on Saturday mornings, so whatever might be considered a long run for you, our goal would be to build on that distance over time. We have a variety of runners and would have to say that we have a great collection of folks that make running together a lot of fun and very rewarding. We meet gather into distance groups at 7am and try to match people up by pace and are off and running by 7:15am!

      You may be one of the only 10 milers this weekend. I've mapped a 10 mile route, but it overlaps with all the other ones for quite a while. You can also join the 9 mile group, and tag on an extra mile at the lake at the end :)

    CouchTo5K group will do one lap, but this time we'll try the outer loop. We'll follow the route that SGLRG uses for the Wed. morning runs, which is the outside loop except for the stretch along Aurora where we stick to the inside loop. Some of us will run two miles before a walk break or even all three miles without a walk break, others will stick with 4 min run/ 1 min walk.

    I am saving my long run for Sunday this week and treating the West Seattle Quarter Ass as a training race/run built into my training for the LSH. If anyone has some flexibility in their schedule and are interested in a field trip you should join in. The race is free and goes from Lincoln Park to Alki beach. There is 15.5 mile option which is an out and back, but I am planning on just doing the out to get 7.75 miles and will tack on a little extra at the end to get to 10 miles.
