Just ran my first race -- the 2014 Hot Chocolate 15K. I did so much better than I ever thought I could!
I've been running solo all aong, just trying to best my own pace and distance records. Racing pushed me in ways I didn't expect. I hope running with a group pushes me and mixes up my stale routine a little.
Keep stretching my pace and distance records. Maybe do a half. And to get my kid out there. He's 4 and can't wait to be big enough to run with mama!
I'm a mom and public policy advocate. Started running 2 years ago and have been running against my own PRs since then. I just did my first race -- a 15K -- and loved it! I hope that running with others will push me further and mix things up a little.
