To those who made it out, great work this weekend. The demos were impressive - I'm always amazed at what we can accomplish in 24 hours! It was good to see a bunch you there!

Hakon, what was the name of the project that you pitched at the start of the hackathon?

Sorry for the slow response Mike, just catching up on my meetup.com emails. I pitched PerfMonkey (http://www.perfmonkey...). My partner, Parashu, and I are going to continue working on it.

Ah, I'm really looking forward to this. I used to go to hackathons a lot when I lived on the east coast, but this'll be my first one in Seattle. :)

Man, I am torn between going to this AngelHack in Seattle or going to Maker Faire in the Bay Area. Anyone got any input on that? I really want to go to both!!

If you head down a week early, you can go to the SF AngelHack (http://www.angelhack....) and then the Maker Faire. Maybe that's a good compromise?

that would have been perfect because I already have tickets back that week, but unfortunately that hackathon is already sold out. :/

I'm wondering if I should go to this. It looks really cool but I wonder if I know enough code. Do you have to have a team already or do you find one when you get there?

    April 28, 2014

    • Diana

Some people create teams beforehand, but a lot of times, teams are formed at the event. There are always a bunch of people who go with ideas and they need teammates to help them. Also, don't worry about whether you think you know enough code or not. There are always things you might know that no one else knows that can be helpful (music, art, teaching, fashion, etc). Plus, a lot of folks are definitely willing to teach others. That's why the hackathon communtiy is so great. :)
