Seattle Hardware Startups Meetup Group holds a monthly meeting at the Nytec Innovation Center which is a new State-Of-The-Art Design and Engineering Facility located in Kirkland. Nytec (www.nytec.com) is an industry leader in engineering services and resources to make on-demand engineering happen.

The event will begin at 6:30pm and the first guest speaker will take the stage at 8pm. However, starting at 7:30 attendees will be invited to take turns on stage to introduce themselves and share any information they feel is relevant to advancing the agenda of our meeting.

We are currently considering multiple guest speakers and expect to make a decision and will update this page once a selection has been made. Please contact our organizer if you would like to suggest a guest speaker.

Complimentary beverages including beer and wine will be served starting at 6:30pm so please arrive early so that you can have a drink and network among others who are passionate about Hardware Startups.

First class Meetup, well organized with interesting speakers. Our hosts, Nytec, went out of their way to make everyone feel at home. What an incredible networking event. Thanks once again for another fantastic evening, Gregg!

Lots of great people there! I would have loved to have 10 minutes of strictly controlled 10 second intros for anyone interested in sharing - name, project, name, project, etc...

Hi Everyone! We're really excited about tonight and have moved the event into a larger space in the building so we can fit a lot more people. You are going to enter the same door, but follow the signs to the new event room. Please note though that we do not have enough parking, so please try to arrive early, carpool, or plan to park nearby. I just ordered a ton of pizza so come hungry, invite your friends, and bring lots of business cards, going to be a great meetup!

Hey everyone, local hardware startup pioneer, Marc Barros has scheduled his Hardware Workshop for the 14th & 15th of March here in Seattle. I absolutely love this guy. Can't say enough about him. Here are some links to his event and blog. Check him out and plan to attend. http://hardwareworkshop.com/hardware-workshop-announcing-seattle-and-boston/

See you at the next meeting.

If you are interested in hardware: we have a monthly mailinglist for enterpreneurs that features product designers. http://goo.gl/Ihw4Ew

I'm not sure what this means. Please describe what this monthly mailing accomplishes.

P.S. - And another reminder that the Meetup restrictions on number of spots open isn't working! We had over 35 people at our first meetup last night even though Meetup stated that it was limited to 20 attendees - so just sign up!

Gregg needs to know how much beer to bring!

Can't wait! In the meantime, let's all collaborate and start a short suggestion list on what we want to be able to share in this group as a whole. I also liked the idea of an open mic where some of us can share our personal stories - good and bad - as part of the process in learning to launch a startup.

I'd also like to suggest that we find a good way to share our mutual contact information so it's easier to connect with each other offline or confidentially as well. As introverted as I'm sure many of you are being hardware geeks, I also felt that this group became very comfortable for most of you unlike many of the other meetup groups. Everyone seemed relaxed enough to circulate and share stories and contacts thanks in no small part to Gregg's terrific organizational skills and the over-the-top hospitality of our hosts at Nytec. Perfect storm!

Looking forward to having a coffee or a quick bite with some of you soon before our next meetup.

What a terrific first meeting. I wish I could have spent time with all of you. Everyone I did talk with was a delight and I hope we talk again soon. ... Robert, Chris, Megh, Dev, Alan, Alexandra, Gregg (and your number one). I hope you all (and everyone who showed up) feel renewed energy for your own projects the way I do following this meeting. I invite anyone from the meeting to contact me to see where some collaboration might be possible. [masked]
