THE THIRD MAN:
An out of work pulp fiction novelist, Holly Martins, (Joseph Cotton) arrives in a post war Vienna divided into sectors by the victorious allies, and where a shortage of supplies has lead to a flourishing black market. He arrives at the invitation of an ex-school friend, Harry Lime,(Orson Welles) who has offered him a job, only to discover that Lime has recently died in a peculiar traffic accident. Driven to investigate Lime's death, Martins soon discovers incredible dark secrets about Lime's life and death.
John Murdoch (Rufus Sewell) awakens alone in a strange hotel to find that he has lost his memory and is wanted for a series of brutal and bizarre murders. While trying to piece together his past, he stumbles upon a fiendish underworld controlled by a group of beings known as The Strangers who possess the ability to put people to sleep and alter the city and its inhabitants. Now Murdoch must find a way to stop them before they take control of his mind and destroy him.
