Network Management Systems

  • March 26, 2014 · 7:00 PM

Please be advised that INE's next Seattle Network Experts Meetup has been rescheduled for 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. This Meetup was originally scheduled for 5:30pm. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to see you there!

During this month's Meetup, Francois Caen, Network Engineer with Pierce County, will be speaking about Network Management Systems. Francois will present the wide array of open source and commercial NMS used at Pierce County: Cacti, Nagios, Smokeping, Cisco Prime LMS & Infrastructure, Riverbed/Opnet AppResponse Xpert, Netflow Tracker, and others. A presentation of each system will be followed by an informal discussion about alternatives and pros and cons.

Join us for an evening of refreshments, fun, and most importantly—networking!

One of my favorite NMS, which I will discuss tonight but forgot to mention in the description above: Splunk.
    See y'all tonight.

I'm OK with the switch, and I think a week's notice is fine. I just really prefer the 5:30 time!

Completely understandable, and future Meetups will be taking place at 5:30pm. Thanks for being able to be flexible with your schedule this time around! :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
