What do you love about Node.js?

My first foray into commonjs was via node.js and now have used the AMD pattern extensively to manage complexity on the client-side. I have not done much with node but being able to quickly develop simple web apps has been pretty useful. I've been waiting for frameworks to mature on the node side and been watching the node-on-windows status. The possibility of using node for efficient push notifications to the client-side is something I've considered with advantages over traditional web server technologies for throughput.

What is your level of experience with Node.js?

Wrote several simple JSON service clients to test out some service interfaces and dump out the request/response JSON. Ran under node.exe on windows.

I'm an application-security guy at heart working as a .Net developer. On the javascript side, I've been doing mostly client-side javascript performance tweaking and framework development.
