Tuesday Night Wine & Yarn

Kristin will be hosting at the Hotel Deca in the District Lounge (University District at 45th & Brooklyn) and the place is awesome with good staff and comfortable seating. Bring your knitting/crochet/spinning projects and join in the fun.   And that's not the only good thing....the Lounge is just about a block away from Weaving Works yarn store (4717 Brooklyn Ave NE) which is open until 6 pm on Tuesdays. Happy Hour just got a little happier! Check out the lounge, say 'hi' to the fantastic host and fondle some yarn for an evening of fiber & fantastic company.

Beginners to Experts - All are welcome! We're a relaxed and friendly group with loads of stories to share and projects to show off. Folks who are new to the fiber arts are encouraged to come join us. We all remember what it was like to just get started and wonder what the heck we were supposed to be doing! Join our little group and become inspired to start that next project. Or just come and have a great time talking with other fiber artists! Bring your latest projects, start a new one or just come and hang out with us for a while.

Please remember, this is a social group and not a class although if you get to know someone whose talent you admire, feel free to ask them for private lessons. We are happy to help give hints and tips on a project that has a problem or direct you to someone who can help. Never fear, there are a multitude of knitting and crocheting classes in the Seattle area. Just check any yarn store calendar or search on-line for a variety of classes around Seattle.

Don't forget! There are now several days to choose from so you can get your yarn fix many times a month now! Monday evenings, Tuesday afternoons & evenings, the 2nd Wednesday evening of the month, and Thursday evenings are gathering days for busy knitters. Check the calendar on our Meetup site for details on upcoming events and locations.

Sorry I missed tonight! I did the Gumshoe 5k scavenger hunt with my little cousins this afternoon.

Is Weaving Works still there? I thought they had to move.

So the above description that says 'a block away' should be amended.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
