My very first knitted item was a squarish thing when I was a small child, but that's not really a "project". I made a couple hats in high school and some scarves and such in college. While studying abroad in Norway I finished a scarf, and since I had the support of some knitting friends, decided to move on. I knit my first ribbed hat on circular needles in a week or so, from a pattern written in Norwegian. Talk about adventure!
My mom taught me to knit as a small child, but it really started taking hold when I knit with both American and Norwegian friends while studying abroad in Norway during college.
I knit pretty much everywhere, from Neumo's during metal shows to the bus to the comfort of my own couch.
Hello! I knit socks and stash sock yarn here in North Seattle, and I heard about this group from my friend Karen.
