Tell us a little bit about your first project. What did you make and how long did it take?

My first project was the proverbial scarf. I was using aluminum needles. My stitches were so tight that the needle broke when they tried to remove the stitches from the needle. I thought that the stitches had to be tight to hold better. I was probably only about 8 or 9 yrs old and thought that the stitches on the needle were like stitches on fabric. My tension has improved greatly since then . My understanding of the knitting process has also improved.

How did you become interested in your craft?

My grandmother and mother.

Is there a special place you like to knit, crochet or create and do you have a suggestion on a good place for the group to get together?

No answer yet

I learned how to knit from my grandmother and mother.I also sew, embroider and do needlepoint. I am interested in Victorian and Edwardian patterns and am interested in knitted lace.
