Bob Redmond will lead a talk on bee & human food systems will be covered - history and kinds of bees, the impact of bees in food production, and how bees create their own food network. Also, a look at Urban Beekeeping, its pros and cons, and best-case models for implementing bees and bee habitat in an urban setting.

Bob is involved with Urban Bee Company, Common Acre, Beacon Food Forest, Puget Sound Beekeepers, and Certified Naturally Grown. The Common Acre and Port of Seattle are collaborating to develop pollinator habitat at SEATAC airport.
