Look up and enjoy Spring! Sustainable Capitol Hill and Capitol Hill Fruit Gleaners will have our own version of the Japanese tradition of Hanami: enjoying the ephemeral beauty of spring blossoms. We will spend the afternoon walking around the Capitol Hill neighborhood, identifying fruit trees by their blossoms, and knocking on doors to recruit fruit donors for our Summer Gleaning.
For those of you only interested in the walk, Rita Smith, a fruit tree expert with City Fruit, will join us to talk about fruit trees, while others can knock on doors to inquire about fruit donation.

We will meet at the corner of Denny and 14th, and continue our walk for approximately 1.5 hours, following the route shown. Please note that we may not make it all the way to the end of the route, depending on time. Event will continue in the event of light rain, but serious downpour will cancel. If you are unsure about the weather on the day of, please feel free to call 424.209.SUST (7878)
