Sustainable NE Seattle's Hands-on Skills Fair is Sat., Feb 9th, 2013.ÃÂ They are still seeking community members that can instruct and demonstrate helpful, fun skills to others. You do not need to be a certified expert or professional teacher.ÃÂ If you have questions about this, or would like to instruct, please contact Joann Kerr - [address removed].
Some of the classes we have offered in the past, but don't have instructors as of now:
sewing basics and repurposing of clothes
machine and appliance repair
fruit tree pruning basics
emergency preparedness; this could be first aid, radio work, general preparedness
various gardening skills
They would like to offer these again due to popularity and these are just a few of the possibilities.ÃÂ ÃÂ
If you instruct, we need to know:
--Minimum age that someone can participate
--How much time you need (from 30 to 90 mins)
--Does your class have special room requirements - like access to outdoors, being outside, whiteboard, etc.
preferred number of participants
--Time of day preference (if it is an absolute time be sure to tell us that)
--If this is a new class, please write a brief description here of what the participant will learn
--Provide a brief 2 sentence bio on yourself as it relates to the class you are teaching
