Optimizing Your File for Printing or Export

Tired of glossy dark blacks, flat whites with no detail, and prints that don't "POP" except for spots you didn't expect? From initial capture to hitting "print" or "send", This event will show how to manage your image file to optimize your printed or exported photo file. Note, if you don't print your own photos, you still export them to the printer! (And if you want Aunt Mable's e-mail to show the same image you see this is for you too!) .

Online signup is required for this class. Fee must be paid at the door with exact cash or check.

Some very helpful information was provided. The handout really helps.

I couldn't find a way to cancel as a 'guest' so I guess I'll just change my RSVP here instead. :( Very clunky way of arranging a meet-up!

I would e-mail them and ask. I think the person to ask has the surname of Orton.

Well, the Mountaineers site is now saying registration closed as of 5:00PM today, even though there's still 13 spaces open. Any idea if I just show up if I can get in? Hate to go all the way up there and be turned away.

Is there a specific software that will be used for this class, such as Lightoom? That is what I am most interested in. Thanks,

Those of you who have RSVP'd as yes...you MUST register on the Mountaineer website.

Sorry, I thought I put the fee...$30 if you are not a member of the Mountaineers...$20 if you are a member.

It may be useful, when there is a fee, to post what the fee is in the Meetup invite. For this event, you may get a number of no-shows from people who clicked yes, then didn't follow through with the Mountaineer sign-up (where the fee is displayed).

That said, this is a great topic to cover. I'm sure I am not the only one who has to print 2-3 copies before getting acceptable results. Would love to hear the techniques for getting it right the first time.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
