Monthly Wine Social and Critique: Motion Blur

Each month, 15-20 photographers of all levels get together to discuss each other's images with emphasis on composition.  The beginners learn from the pros, the pros learn from each other and we all have a good time with wine/beer to boot.  Join us for at Vino on the Landing in Renton for a Monday evening for our monthly Wine & Critique Social.

There can be a fine line between out of focus or blur by accident and purposeful motion blur.  The goal here is to capture an image with both good composition and purposeful motion blur.  Motion blur can really add story to an image.  Give it a try!

RULE:  All images should be taken during the month prior to the event

Bring your 5 images on a flash drive, SD card or CD.

There is usually a waiting list on these meetups.  Please do not RSVP and not show up.  Honestly, cancelling an hour before the event is the same as being a no-show!  Preference will be given to those who have donated to the club during the current year and/or have not no-showed past Vino events.

It takes a lot of time, effort and money to keep this club going.  We ask for an annual $20 donation.  If you have not donated in 2013, please consider contributing $20 or any other amount by CLICKING ON THIS LINK or going to the meetup page and use the link on the left side of the page.

Sorry, I have to bail this time. I'll be at my parents' on Sunday, and having just moved I haven't had any time to think about taking photos this month.

The NFL had the gall to schedule the Seahawks game next Sunday at 3:30, which will cause the end of the game to overlap with our Meetup. What is wrong with those people!? Would it be possible to delay the start of our Meetup to, say, 7:45, so we won't miss the end of the game?

On another note, I happened upon this article about some fascinating photography created by a totally amazing geeked-out techie:

Turns out I cannot make this event, really disappointed as I've been wanting to go. Another time!

I paid my dues in November, but somehow that is not showing up? As it says I can't sign up for the meeting without paying?

I've been away for a while because of personal health reasons, and I am happy to be able to rejoin the group. I have always thought that Allen and the members that i meet, and the info I get is well worth the money. I dont mind paying dues in a club that offers so much.
